Bequests and Legacy Giving
We are deeply committed to creating a future where every animal finds a loving home and receives the care they deserve. One of the most powerful ways you can make a lasting impact is by naming the Animal Rescue League of Fall River in your Legacy Estate Planning. Legacy gifts (often called “planned gifts”) strongly demonstrate you are making a commitment to the future care of animals in our community.
The most common form of planned giving is made through your will. Your will distributes the property in the manner you wish when you pass on. If you would like to remember the League with a Legacy Estate Gift, please have your attorney notify the League of the terms, conditions, and circumstances of your will.
The Animal Rescue League of Fall River is a tax exempt 501 (C) (3) non-profit community organization chartered by the IRS. Our Federal EIN number is 04-2103711. If you already have a will, you need only call your attorney and advise him/her of your interest in making a bequest to the Animal Rescue League of Fall River. In most cases, a bequest may be stated by the creation of a codicil to your existing will.
Faxon Animal Care and Adoption Center, a division of the League, serves as a vital lifeline for homeless, abused, and neglected animals. We rescue them from harmful situations and offer a safe, nurturing temporary home while we work to find them permanent, loving families. Leaving a planned gift is a special way to continue improving their world and providing them with a second chance. Your planned gift will provide the League with long-term support for its life-saving programs.
There are many ways to include the League in your legacy planning. While legacy gifts can take various forms, they all share a key benefit: they enable you to contribute more to saving the lives of animals than you might have imagined, while still allowing you to maintain flexibility in your giving during your lifetime.
A Legacy Gift can be one of the following:
-
A gift or “bequest” from your Will or Trust
-
Naming Animal Rescue League of Fall River a beneficiary of your Retirement Plan (IRA)
-
Naming Animal Rescue League of Fall River a beneficiary of a Life Insurance Policy
-
Naming Animal Rescue League of Fall River a beneficiary of a savings, checking, brokerage or other transfer on death (TOD) account
Each of these gifts will allow you to enjoy specific tax advantages as well, so it is recommended that you discuss your personal financial plan with a professional. (If you have already remembered the League in your estate plans, please contact us.)
